Job summary

AT&F is seeking a Project Manager (Manufacturing) in Cleveland, OH to guide large, complex fabrication projects for submarines. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, review codes/contract requirements, and ensure accurate work instructions and cost estimates for bids and builds.

The role emphasizes strong reading of drawings, welding/fabrication background, machining and ERP usage, with a path toward delivering on-time, within-budget fabrications at a major defense-related supplier.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Experience reading and analyzing drawings, technical documents and specifications.
• Background in fabrication and welding.
• Experience with machining.
• Experience with cutting processes (Oxyfuel and plasma).
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor).

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing customer contact to ensure correct information is received and translated for the fabrication team.
• Prepare work instructions for fabrications involving burning, forming, welding, and machining.
• Expedite jobs through the build process.
• Review and understand code and contract requirements.
• Analyze inquiries to determine requirements for preparation of quotes.
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Maintain sales orders and jobs in ERP system (Epicor).

The Goals and Challenges of this Role:

What You Should Bring to this Role:

• Minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelors preferred)


• Experienced in reading and analyzing drawings, technical documents and specifications


• Analytical skills – accurately evaluate detailed specifications


• Time management skills – fixed deadlines on multiple projects


• Experienced in reading and analyzing drawings, technical documents and specifications.


• Background in fabrication and welding required, preferably with medium to large weldments in a job shop type environment.


• Experience in machining preferred.


• Experience with cutting process (Oxyfuel and plasma)


• Experience in the application and utilization of ERP systems or other computer systems used to manage projects
