Job summary

Engtal, a well-established civil construction contractor in the Greater Chicago Area, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own projects from start to finish. You will manage schedules, budgets, site development, excavation, underground utilities, and infrastructure projects while coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, owners, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Previous Project Management experience in civil construction.
  • Experience with sitework, excavation, underground utilities, earthwork, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with field and office teams.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Long-term opportunity with an established Chicagoland contractor.

  • Manage civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall project performance.

  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project reporting.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to keep projects on schedule.
  • Track project costs and help maintain profitability.
  • Assist with procurement, material coordination, and subcontractor management.
  • Identify potential project issues early and develop solutions.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project.

A well-established civil construction contractor in the Greater Chicago Area is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing team. What You’ll Do
