Job summary

Hayden Industrial is seeking a Project Manager to serve as a key liaison between supply chain, finance, industrial engineers, and the leadership team within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the execution of CapEx projects, providing accurate and timely communication, and ensuring a high level of financial accountability to maintain project budgets.

  • This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PM, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing capital projects in manufacturing or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and capital budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software; experience with ERP systems (Glovia) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead CapEx projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate supply chain, operations, and external contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, and company standards.
  • Track costs, approve invoices, and manage budget forecasting/reporting.
  • Support commissioning, startup, validation, turnover activities.

Job description

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking a Project Manager to serve as a key liaison between supply chain, finance, industrial engineers, and leadership team within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing the execution of CapEx projects, providing accurate and timely communication, and ensuring a high level of financial accountability to maintain project budgets. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain, operation, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate supply chain, operations, and external contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environment, safety, and company standards.
  • Track projects costs, approve invoices, and manage budget forecasting and reporting.
  • Support commissioning, startup, validation, and turnover activities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, energy, food processing, chemical, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and capital budgeting processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Glovia) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding safety regulations, permitting, and contractor management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes.

While performing duties of this job, the person in this position might remain stationary for long periods of time, while operating a computer and other office machinery. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office machinery.

The employee might occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

On occasion, the employee may be required to visit the shop that is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is required for this position.
