A financial industry client is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager for a 1-year contract in Getzville, NY. The role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and business analysis with a focus on data operations. Our client within the financial industry is looking to hire a Business Analyst / Project Manager to join their team in Getzville, New York. This is a 1-year long contract opportunity.
As their Project Manager / Business Analyst you will be responsible for project management and analysis related to multiple strategic work efforts across their Data & Regulatory Operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business analysis and project management roles, specifically within the Data domain.
Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of execution against milestones and budget on one or more projects.
•Create, maintain full end to end operations project and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log. Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
• Engage stakeholders across product and functional domains to drive transformative changes
• Review use cases and manage work streams across geographies for Data & Regulatory Operations for process improvement, strategic technology solutions and automation and Change Management
• Apply knowledge of Data concepts and procedures to resolve issues and complete required analysis
• Providing implementation / post-implementation project support
• Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
• Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
• Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in business analysis and project management roles, specifically within the Data domain
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business, operations, technology and compliance, including those at senior levels
• Ability to rationalize and work through organizational change. Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
• Experience in designing business process models and solutioning in order to support strategic design decision
• Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting need
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience
