(Atlanta, Full-time, Hybrid) - This role is open only to candidates who reside in Atlanta, GA.

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a Project Manager/Business Analyst to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team that values innovation and collaboration. The Project Manager/Business Analyst works closely with stakeholder teams across the firm, including Business Process Optimization, Artificial & Business Intelligence, Information Governance & Security, Knowledge Management, and others, to understand business needs and identify technology solutions.

This role serves as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating business needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions. The Project Manager/Business Analyst will support technology initiatives, process improvements, AI and automation efforts, and project execution through thoughtful analysis, strong communication, and effective documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Cross-Departmental Engagement & Requirements Analysis
  • Collaborate with legal and administrative departments to identify technology and innovation needs that support their operations and strategic goals.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and whiteboarding sessions to gather and clarify business requirements related to data, systems, and process improvement.
  • Translate business needs into actionable insights and work products for technical teams, ensuring successful handoffs and effective outcomes.
Project Management
  • Create and maintain project documentation for major initiatives, including project charters, business and functional requirements, change logs, process documentation, and related materials.
  • Plan and track assigned projects, including goals, timelines, resources, assignments, dependencies, risks, and status.
  • Manage and coordinate vendor resources when external partners are involved in project activities.
  • Support the continued development of PMO practices and help ensure established project management standards and best practices are followed.
Process and Systems Optimization
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and the Business Process Optimization Specialist to identify opportunities for workflow enhancements or system automation.
  • Support the evaluation of new tools, services, or integrations that may improve user experience, data quality, or operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments and the AI and IT teams to help prioritize solutions and align efforts with firm objectives.
Data and Technology Mapping
  • Contribute to the firm’s data inventory efforts by identifying critical data sources, owners, and system dependencies across departments.
  • Assist in tracking how data is used in business processes and reporting to inform system changes, integrations, or governance efforts.
Knowledge Capture and Documentation
  • Support the development of technical documentation when needed to ensure knowledge continuity and smooth project transitions.
  • Help curate and maintain key operational content in internal wikis or repositories, with support from technical writers or subject matter experts.
  • Work with the AI team to structure documentation for better discovery and interaction using generative AI tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, IT operations, technology enablement, or similar role, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve business and technology outcomes.
  • Experience supporting or managing technology projects involving multiple stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications, data workflows, and best practices for system and process documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Exposure to ITIL, Agile, project management, or vendor management frameworks.
  • Experience working in a professional services or compliance-driven environment, such as legal, financial services, or healthcare.
  • Experience with Jira or similar project and work management platforms.
