Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and field installation. You will interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality, while maintaining on-time delivery within budget.

The role requires leadership, initiative, and strong communication, with experience in technical environments such as building automation, fire and life safety, and AV systems.

• Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems and AV systems).

• Adaptable and capable of influencing others; strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.
• Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple aspects of assigned projects (typically up to $1M) from award through completion.
• Prepare project installation plans and schedules; oversee site management for timely completion within budget.
• Translate client needs into project proposals and implementation plans; assist with cost estimates and contract negotiations.
• Communicate project requirements clearly to the project team and maintain records of status and changes.
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractors; ensure cost control and timely delivery.
• Ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across all project activities.
