Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Project Manager for our Richmond, VA location. You will oversee multiple small-to-medium projects, coordinating schedules, subcontractors, and cost controls while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Team-oriented with customer support focus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • English verbal and written communication.
  • 1+ year project management experience in HVAC controls.
  • Ability to read MEP drawings, electrical/network/control wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet.
  • Must be 21+ with valid driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Oversee fiscal aspects: billing, job cost reporting, customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver results for each process step within projects.
  • Guide technical or administrative staff.
  • Act as a resource on projects and programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement plans.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure project progress.
  • Manage several small projects to schedule and budget.
  • Review plans, drawings, and specs to establish project intent.
  • Coordinate procurement of supplies and materials for projects.
  • Support subcontractor contracting and closings.

The Project Manager facilitatesthe execution of project/program solutionplanfor clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.This rolerequires the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered small to medium in complexity withfinancial impactbetween $100K and $2.5M.

As a Project Manager, you will:
  • Have fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Be responsible fordelivery of results for the respective process steps.
  • Guidetechnical or administrative staff.
  • Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs
  • Contribute to continuous improvementplan.
  • Performactiverole inmaintainingfunctionally focused client relationships.
  • Be responsible forseveral small projects.
  • Review project specifications,drawingsand project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop andmaintaina project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.Identifytime-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications andparticipatein project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Track resources andprojectsprogress.
  • Document project events thatimpactthe schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate withAccountingteam and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources andprovidescommissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Technical experience in the HVAC controlsindustry
  • 1+ years of experience managing projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
  • Must be 21 years of age andpossessa valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements toparticipatein Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the HVAC controls

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
