Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Laurel, Maryland is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate multiple projects with financial impact greater than $7M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for project facets including billing, job cost reporting, and client satisfaction.

You will facilitate execution of project plans for clearly defined sub-projects, guide staff, and maintain client relationships. Requires PM certification for larger projects and 7+ years of PM experience in HVAC/building automation.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.
  • Experience withMicrosoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Technical experience in the HVAC controls industry
  • 7+years of experience managing projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, drawings and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinates needs with the project team.Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provides project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Track resources and project progress.
  • Document project events that Impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinates withAccountingteam and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

The Project Manager coordinatesand deliversmultiple simultaneous projects considered medium to large in complexity withfinancial impactgreater than $7M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

You willfacilitatethe execution ofproject/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs. Responsible for delivery of results for the respective process steps. May guide technical or administrative staff. Acts as a functional process resource on projects or programs. Contributes to continuous improvementplan. May performactiverole inmaintainingfunctionally focused client relationships. Responsible for several projects of varying size. Must obtainPM@Siemenscertification for B and C projects (greater than $2.5M).

As a Project Manager , you will:

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
