William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is hiring an experienced Bridge Project Manager to oversee bridge construction projects. Prior experience in managing bridge projects is required.

This position can be located in or near Springfield, IL, with a hybrid work model and site travel as needed. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage field operations and contract administration, including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, and procurement.
  2. Develop and implement safety plans for all activities.
  3. Handle contract management, including change orders, scope changes, and budget creation and management.
  4. Manage relationships with subcontractors and vendors, assessing risks and controlling costs.
  5. Plan equipment, personnel, and methods; update schedules accordingly.
  6. Maintain accurate financial and project documentation, including cost accounting, change logs, and communication records.
  7. Provide monthly projections and manage contract values considering weather, scope changes, and project progress.
  8. Report weekly project quantities and budget updates.
  9. Reconcile change orders and update logs regularly.
  10. Track purchase order costs and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; experience may substitute for education.
  2. Minimum of 5 years in project management within heavy civil and bridge construction.
  3. Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and team-oriented management approach.
  4. OSHA 30 Hour certification.
