Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation of multiple, concurrent airside and landside Capital Projects at an international airport facility as part of the construction and program management team.
- Provide direction and input on projects from design development through construction.
- Act as the primary project representative, establish standards for meeting minutes, records, etc., and ensure Designers and Contractors meet quality standards.
- Facilitate coordination with other airport divisions and local and federal regulatory agencies as appropriate.
- Coordinate with utility companies and public/private agencies with jurisdiction, including FAA, TSA, telephone companies, and other federal, state, and local agencies.
- Be familiar with various project types and delivery methods (e.g., design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager at risk).
- Provide quality control for administration procedures, design, and construction processes.
- Manage requests for information, clarifications, submittals, samples, and shop drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive Project Management Plans and track project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules.
- Ensure the implementation and execution of the Quality Program.
- Review project reports and findings, making modifications as needed.
- Act as the primary agent between the client and project team, developing project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading meetings, and delivering the final project to the client.
- Monitor safety compliance and oversee contractor safety.
- Conduct project closeout administration.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
- Set an example of core values in daily actions and promote a positive workplace culture.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
- PE license is required.
- 8-10 years of experience, including aviation engineering experience.
- Knowledge of FAA funding, guidelines, pavement design Circulars, software, construction specifications, and safety plans.
- Experience designing and managing aviation projects, developing plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies.
- Strong knowledge of FAA Circulars, engineering design, bidding, construction administration, and airport project management.
- Must be a collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
