Job summary

ZipStaff is seeking a Project Manager Associate to support the HR & Corporate Communications team at a major financial services organization in McLean, VA. This is an on-site contract role (W2 through ZipStaff) focused on delivering digital, web, and communications projects following PMO standards.

You will work with cross-functional teams, develop timelines, manage risks, and report progress to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of project management delivering digital, web, creative, or communications projects.
• Experience with Wrike, Asana, or Jira for planning and tracking work.
• Schedule management, change management, and risk/issues governance.
• Strong judgment in maintaining risk and governance standards.
• Ability to navigate between business teams with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• On-site work in McLean, VA; legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to define scope and drive delivery.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, documentation, and status reporting.
• Facilitate stakeholder sessions and resolve blockers.
• Track progress and report to clients and internal teams on performance and timeline.
