Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in the United States seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams, align resources, and drive on-time delivery for complex manufacturing initiatives.

You will partner with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to manage schedules, risks, and cost targets while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or supply chain field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial tech.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Internal Resource Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Assemble, lead, and guide cross-functional project teams comprising Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales.
• Define internal resource allocations, balance workloads across project milestones, and resolve resource conflicts.
• Foster high team accountability, transparent communication, and alignment with overall corporate and program objectives.

Manufacturing Coordination & Component Sourcing

• Partner closely with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to track component availability, supplier readiness, tooling lead times, and bill-of-materials (BOM) cost targets.
• Coordinate with plant manufacturing engineering and plant operations to ensure smooth production
• Identify bottlenecks and risks early, formulating effective mitigation and dual-sourcing strategies where appropriate.

Schedule, Milestones & Delivery Date Tracking

• Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules (WBS, Gantt charts, critical path tracking).
• Track critical path items, identify schedule variances proactively, and implement recovery plans to guarantee on-time customer delivery.

Customer Change Management & Scope Control

• Serve as the primary operational interface for engineering change requests (ECR/) submitted by external clients or internal teams.
• Evaluate the technical, financial, and schedule impacts of design and process modifications.
• Present change impact assessments to stakeholders, secure customer commercial approvals, and ensure synchronized implementation across suppliers and shop floor operations.

Quality Gate Governance & Phase Reviews

• Plan, lead, and document formal Quality Gate reviews across all project phases.
• Ensure all phase deliverable sign-offs are obtained .

Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement

• Facilitate post-phase and post-project "Lessons Learned" workshops to identify best practices and recurring failure modes.
• Maintain a central knowledge repository and ensure insights are fed back into design guidelines, manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and future project planning.
• Participate in driving operational excellence initiatives

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent technical field. PMP is an asset.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in a discrete manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or industrial technology environment.
• Stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities under tight timelines.
• Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively between cross-functional teams such as shop floor operators, suppliers, executive leaders, logistics and planning and customers.
