The ideal candidate has direct project management experience within an architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary design firm. This role requires ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, risk management, team coordination, and client relationships.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, maintain accountability across project phases, resolve issues proactively, and ensure projects meet contractual requirements, design objectives, budgets, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage architecture and engineering projects from kickoff through design, permitting, construction administration, and final delivery
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and overall performance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and milestone tracking
  • Lead and coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Establish priorities, assign responsibilities, and maintain accountability across project teams
  • Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding deliverables, decisions, approvals, and action items
  • Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, coordination issues, schedule risks, and potential budget impacts
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve design, technical, permitting, and construction-related challenges
  • Manage workflows across architectural design, engineering, permitting, bidding, and construction phases
  • Coordinate design reviews, client presentations, milestone submissions, permitting activities, and construction-phase services
  • Serve as a primary client contact, provide regular updates, address concerns, and manage expectations
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with contracts, applicable codes, client objectives, and project standards
  • Coordinate with contractors and construction teams during construction administration to resolve issues and maintain progress
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, schedules, budgets, and status reports
  • Provide leadership with updates on project progress, risks, financial performance, schedules, and outstanding decisions
  • Improve project management processes, workflows, documentation standards, and multidisciplinary coordination
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary design projects from kickoff through permitting and construction
  • Required: Experience working within an architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary professional design firm
  • Demonstrated ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, risks, and client relationships
  • Proven experience leading architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong understanding of architectural and engineering design workflows, permitting processes, construction documentation, and construction-phase coordination
  • Experience managing projects through multiple phases of design and delivery
  • Ability to identify and resolve scope conflicts, design coordination issues, schedule risks, and budget concerns
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and milestones simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of contracts, project deliverables, and professional services environments
