Job summary

Jess Cooney Interiors in Great Barrington, MA, seeks a Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation. You will coordinate design development, construction documents, budgeting, schedules, and client/contractor/vendor communications, with regular site visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential projects from conception to completion.
• Produce and review construction and design drawing sets.

• Oversee specifications, finishes, materials, and sourcing.
• Create and maintain schedules, budgets, proposals and purchase orders.
• Review contractor/vendor documents with precise order tracking and scheduling.
• Construction management; no furniture selection duties required.

Job description

We are currently seeking a talented team member to join us in the role of Project Manager. Jess Cooney Interiors is a vibrant interior design firm focused on high-end residential projects. To be considered for this position, you must have 4-6 years of residential Architecture or Interior Architecture experience and a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.

Applicants must effectively manage all project development phases, from inception to installation while simultaneously handling multiple projects of varying size and complexity. This position is solution oriented with high client, contractor and vendor interaction. Full-time / hybrid expectation (2–3 days/week in Great Barrington - including site visits). Other qualities include: Excellent technical skills, proven project management skills, a high level of attention to detail, a refined design vision, enthusiastic communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills to be considered:

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience with prior employment in high end residential interior design or architecture
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Interior Architecture or Architecture
• A high level of proficiency with Google Suite & AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Design Manager preferred but not required.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage residential projects from conception to completion in the role of Project Manager
• Deep experience with and production of construction and design drawing sets
• Contribute to the development lighting and millwork details
• Thorough knowledge of design processes, including, specifications, finish and material selection and product sourcing
• Create and maintain schedules, budget spreadsheets, proposals and purchase orders
