Job Description
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mondays and Wednesdays) required to be onsite at the Austin office (701 W 51st St, Austin, TX, 78751). Program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position.
I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 2 Project Manager 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Project Manager 3, Project Management and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.
This Cloud Cybersecurity Project Manager III position will manage a complex Cloud Cybersecurity project. This project requires 8 or more years of advanced security project management experience, relies on extensive experience with web information systems, information systems controls, web application development, and sound judgment to plan critically think, and achieve goals. The project involves not only managing the staff but up to three staff, including an Application/Software Developer and two Network Security Analysts that can be selected after project scope and timelines are reviewed for appropriateness. This position has the expectation that when resources are limited, the manager will handle those gaps that might require them to independently perform a variety of complicated Information Technology (IT) tasks, as such a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The Cloud Cybersecurity Project Manager III will handle the project budget and timeline using an enterprise portfolio project management software and coordinating with the Managed Services vendor to ensure that project implementation is on time, under budget, and within scope to accommodate the best value for the Department of State Health Services (DSHS). The Cloud Cybersecurity Project Manager III must follow the Department of Information Resources (DIR) Project Management Framework, ensuring compliance within Health and Human Services and DSHS Security and Information Technology Standards.
This Cloud Cybersecurity Project Manager III position requires a PPM certification.
