Job description

• - The Department of Finance and Division of Revenue is seeking a contract IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple concurrent technology projects using traditional waterfall and Agile methodology.
• - This role is responsible for full project lifecycle management - from planning through closeout - across enterprise infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity initiatives, and requires the ability to communicate project status and risk clearly to senior leader.
• - Handling around 5 project ranging from large to small.

Key Responsibilities

• - Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously supporting DOF from initiation through closeout using waterfall methodology
• - Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and roadmaps
• - Create and manage risk and issue trackers; proactively identify, elevate, and mitigate project risks
• - Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements in coordination with stakeholders
• - Track budget, timeline, and resource allocation against baseline plans
• - Coordinate cross-functionally with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application support, business and vendor teams
• - Prepare and deliver status reports and presentations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
• - Manage vendor and contractor deliverables where applicable
• - Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement of PM practices within the IT organization

Required Qualifications

• - Proven experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects in a waterfall/structured methodology environment
• - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain project plans, roadmaps, RAID/risk-and-issue logs, and status reporting artifacts
• - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior/executive leadership
• - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• - Experience working with cross-functional technical teams (infrastructure, security, applications)
• - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• - PMP certification (or equivalent)
• - Prior experience managing mid-large sized IT projects – specifically managing Finance related projects (reporting, data management, Enterprise level projects, compliance, audits)
• - Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)
