Job summary

ABEC in Wilson, NC is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects from kickoff to customer acceptance. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and operations, serving as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biotech Eng., Chem. E., ME, or Metallurgical/Materials Eng.).
  • 7–10 years of post-graduate professional experience with at least 5 years in project management.
  • Able to develop detailed cross-functional schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Able to read and interpret AutoCAD P&ID drawings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and independence.
  • Lean/Six Sigma and CI experience a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.

Project Manager - Engineering and Life Sciences Equipment

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biotech Eng., Chem. E., ME, or Metallurgical/Materials Eng.).
  • 7–10 years of post‑graduate professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years involving project management responsibilities.
  • Able to develop detailed cross functional schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
  • Able to read and interpret AutoCAD P&ID Drawings.
  • Able to work with controls engineers to ensure the mechanical system installed will function properly.
  • A successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work well with a team, as well as be self‑reliant and independent when necessary.
  • Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus.
  • Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
