Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC in Wilmington, NC seeks a Project Manager – Construction to lead fiber/utility/infrastructure builds from planning through closeout. You will manage scope, schedule, and resources, coordinating with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and permitting entities to keep work on track.

You’ll monitor progress, control costs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and report to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• 3–5 years of experience managing construction or fiber-related projects.
• Familiarity with construction management software, schedules, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction project scope, schedule, and resources in alignment with company and client expectations.

• Monitor job progress and resolve issues related to timeline, materials, or resource availability.

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports, job logs, and schedule updates.
• Support job site visits and quality control checks as required.
• Assist with project forecasting, manpower planning, and procurement coordination.

Purpose:

The Project Manager – Construction is responsible for managing day-to-day activities on assigned fiber, utility, or infrastructure construction projects. This role supports the full project lifecycle from planning and coordination to execution and closeout, working under the guidance of senior leadership and in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction project scope, schedule, and resources in alignment with company and client expectations

Requirements

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience managing construction or fiber-related projects
• Familiarity with construction management software, schedules, and permitting
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills

Exposure:

• Internal: Works with field crews, operations leadership, safety, permitting, and finance
• External: Interfaces with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and client representatives
• Frequent site visits and travel to project locations required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk job sites, navigate uneven terrain, and perform field inspections
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for materials or equipment transport
• Visual acuity to review construction documents and field data
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and travel as needed
