Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Supervisor to lead daily operations of telecom cable construction teams, overseeing aerial or underground projects, timelines, safety, and quality.

You will coordinate with ITG staff and partner crews, assign tasks, enforce safety protocols, provide on-site training, monitor progress, and prepare reports to help management make timely decisions. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring physical capability and a commitment to performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in telecom cable construction (aerial or underground).
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Proven track record of safe work practices and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians or workers in telecom cable construction projects to ensure project execution as per timelines, quality and cost.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations.
• Assign tasks and schedules to team members ensuring correct resource allocation and equipment availability.
• Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, including linemen and drillers.
• Address and resolve operational issues as they arise, including on-site customer interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review to enable timely decision making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices.

Purpose:

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians or workers in telecom cable construction projects to ensure project execution as per the timelines, quality and cost.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations.
• Assign tasks and schedules to team members including ITG employees and employees of business partners, ensuring correct resource allocation and equipment availability to optimize utilization, productivity and delivery.
• Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, including linemen and drillers.
• Address and resolve operational issues as they arise, including on-site customer interactions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review to enable timely decision making and intervention for improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in telecom cable construction (aerial or underground)
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Proven track record of safe work practices and quality delivery

Exposure

• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and construction work practices
• Familiarity with telecom, broadband, and power industry projects
• Experience with construction management software and tools
• Understanding of basic financial concepts related to project budgeting/ cost
