Tropical Shipping in West Palm Beach, Florida is seeking an Organization Project Manager!

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and results-driven professional with experience managing projects from planning through successful delivery. This individual will coordinate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure project requirements, timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved. Responsibilities include developing project plans, tracking milestones and deadlines, facilitating meetings, preparing project updates and summaries, and communicating schedule changes. The candidate will monitor project progress, identify potential risks and at-risk tasks, and develop mitigation plans to keep projects on track. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and resource allocation skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage large-scale, cross-departmental projects from initiation through completion, including renovations and upgrades.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to allocate resources and ensure project teams have the necessary tools and information.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Oversee the bidding process, negotiate contracts, and ensure proper execution of service agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to quality, timelines, costs, and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project budgets while controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review, approve, and track project-related invoices to maintain financial accountability.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Partner with the HSE department to ensure all project work meets established safety requirements.
  • Monitor project team performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful execution.
  • Identify potential project risks and challenges and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide proactive problem-solving to overcome obstacles and keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals involved in each project, providing timely and accurate updates.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations with management to communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Analyze existing organizational processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with departments to implement process enhancements that improve efficiency and support business growth.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop project teams while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure project teams have the knowledge, resources, and skills necessary for successful project execution.
  • Establish, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project progress and performance.
  • Provide regular status updates and detailed reports to management to ensure projects remain aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Finance, Business Management and/or related field

Experience:

  • 2 years related experience

Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license and Valid Passport.

Travel:

  • Constant travel within the U.S. and other Tropical Caribbean locations in the Caribbean

Physical Requirements:

  • Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend, stoop or reach overhead. Manage department equipment. Ability to sit for approximately eight hours per day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, trains, etc.). Occasionally exposed to outside elements during traveling, and site visits.
