About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers comprehensive energy distribution systems and solutions across all markets and sales channels. We provide reliable power grids today while investing in future technologies to create the power distribution grid of tomorrow. Our portfolio addresses the evolving technical needs of current and future power grids.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of projects from initiation to closeout. This role requires excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a matrix organization. Based in Wendell, NC, the EA PMO manages a diverse portfolio, including photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage equipment, and automation solutions. This position offers growth opportunities aligned with Siemens’ mission to empower individuals with a growth mindset. As a customer-facing team, we prioritize customer satisfaction while managing large, fast-paced projects. This position can be remote within the United States.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead all project phases from start to finish.
2. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and technical performance.
3. Set milestones and ensure adherence to plans and schedules.
4. Communicate expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders.
5. Provide regular updates on project status, plans, and budgets.
6. Identify and resolve project issues, including resource allocation and contractual adjustments.
7. Manage customer expectations and lead medium voltage solutions projects.
8. Diagnose issues to determine root causes and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

Basic:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years managing portfolios in power distribution (medium or high voltage)
• Willingness to travel up to 20% nationally and internationally
• Ability to interpret and report results to management and customers
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred:

• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Proven project management in competitive markets
• Experience implementing cost-saving measures
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
• Experience with contract and change management
• PMP certification within 1 year of hire
