Job summary

Kingdom Workers is seeking a Project Manager to lead the transition and integration of a newly acquired nonprofit, reporting to the COO. The role requires coordination across governance, legal, finance, HR, and programs, and driving projects from strategy through execution with agile practices.

The ideal candidate is AI- and tech-savvy, proficient in agile project management tools, and committed to advancing KW’s mission and Christ-centered culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, organizational leadership, operations, technology, project management, or related field preferred.
  • Progressively responsible project management experience preferred, especially with cross-functional, time-sensitive, confidential, or organizational change projects.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit, ministry, acquisition, merger, integration, change-management, or complex operational projects strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile project management techniques, including iterative planning, sprint or milestone planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog management, and adaptive prioritization.
  • Knowledgeable in project management tools and strategies, including project charters, RACI matrices, risk registers, issue logs, dependency tracking, Gantt or roadmap planning, KPI tracking, and executive status reporting.
  • AI and technology savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and responsibly use tools such as Microsoft 365, Copilot, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Loop, Project.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a clear project roadmap, timeline, work breakdown structure, milestones, sprint plans, meeting cadence, and accountability system.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams such as governance, legal, finance, HR, programs, communications, donor relations, technology, data, risk, and operations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, check-ins, retrospectives, and working sessions using agile-informed practices.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including project charter, scope statements, stakeholder map, RACI, risk log, and action-item tracker.
  • Use PM tools to provide visibility into priorities, deadlines, ownership, risks, and progress.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, summarize meetings, draft docs, analyze information, and identify next steps.

The Project Manager (PM), at the direction of the COO, leads the transition and integration of a newly acquired non-profit into Kingdom Workers. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, drives projects from strategy through execution, provides clear communication, and accountability. The ideal candidate is AI and tech savvy, skilled in agile project management practices and tools, and committed to advancing KW’s mission and Christ-centered culture.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • create andmaintainproject documentation, including project charter, scope statements, stakeholder map, RACI, risk register, issue log, dependency tracker, decision log, action-item tracker, and executive status reports
  • use project management and collaboration tools to provide visibility into priorities, deadlines, ownership, risks, and progress
  • apply AI-enabled tools appropriately to improve project efficiency, summarize meetings, draft project documentation, analyze information, identify next steps, and support communication while maintaining confidentiality and data stewardship
  • support due diligence and integration planning by organizing information requests, tracking open items, escalating risks, coordinating follow-up, and helping leaders prepare for key decisions
  • translate complex project details into clear,timelyupdates for the COO, senior leadership, board committees, staff, and other stakeholders as requested
  • anticipateproject risks, capacity constraints, change-management needs, and communication gaps; recommend practical mitigation strategies
  • promote healthy collaboration across teams by clarifying expectations, surfacing obstacles, encouraging timely communication, and maintaining a service-minded approach
  • support change management and adoption planning, including stakeholder engagement, communication sequencing, training needs, transition planning, and measure-of-success tracking
  • protect sensitive information related to the acquisition, staff, donors, partners, finances, contracts, and organizational strategy
  • other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Characteristics:
  • bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, organizational leadership, operations, technology, project management, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • progressively responsible project management experience preferred, especially with cross-functional, time-sensitive, confidential, or organizational change projects
  • experience supporting nonprofit, ministry, acquisition, merger, integration, change-management, or complex operational projects strongly preferred
  • familiarity with agile project management techniques, including iterative planning, sprint or milestone planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog management, and adaptive prioritization
  • knowledgeable in project management tools and strategies, including project charters, RACI matrices, risk registers, issue logs, dependency tracking, Gantt or roadmap planning, KPI tracking, and executive status reporting
  • AI and technology savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and responsibly use tools such as Microsoft 365, Copilot, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Loop, Project, or similar platforms
  • strong organizer who can turn ambiguity into structure, clarify next steps, and help leaders and teams maketimelyprogress
