Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking a Project Manager (Bio) to support a major biopharmaceutical program in Washington, DC on an initial 12-month contract. You will lead work packages, own scope, budget, and schedule, and coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful delivery in a regulated environment.

The role requires a degree in engineering or a related field, experience managing project resources, and a solid understanding of GMP/GEP, SHE, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience leading work packages and managing project resources.
• Strong understanding of GMP/GEP requirements, SHE compliance, and regulated delivery processes.
• Experience coordinating site-based activities, including contractor and vendor management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned work packages with ownership of scope, budget, schedule, risks, and deliverables from supplier selection through to operational readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and compliance.
• Manage project risks, scope changes, supplier performance, and technical issues with mitigation plans.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities with complete documentation and approvals.

What you’ll deliver:

• Lead assigned work packages or project areas, taking ownership of scope, budget, schedule, risks, and deliverables from supplier selection through to operational readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, stage-gate compliance, and achievement of quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Manage project risks, scope changes, supplier performance, and technical issues, implementing mitigation plans and escalating concerns where appropriate.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements are completed and maintained.

Experience required:

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline, with experience leading work packages and managing project resources.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards, GMP/GEP requirements, SHE compliance, and project delivery processes within a regulated environment.
• Experience coordinating site-based activities, including contractor and vendor management, inspections, installation readiness, and execution oversight.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation, supported by excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
