Job summary

TGC Talent is seeking a construction professional to own the full lifecycle of commercial glazing projects in Washington, DC. You will lead bidding, estimating, contracting, design coordination, purchasing and field execution to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in engineering or construction management and 5+ years of hands-on glazing experience, with a proactive, growth-oriented mind-set for the construction industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bidding & Estimating: Analyze drawings, perform takeoffs, gather vendor quotes, and prepare proposals.
• Contract Administration: Interpret scope, assemble submittal packages, monitor approvals.
• Design Coordination: Evaluate fabrication drawings, draft RFIs, implement design changes.
• Purchasing: Draft RFPs, assess vendor pricing, finalize purchase orders.
• Field Execution: Build and maintain project schedules, attend site meetings, ensure quality, manage punch lists and closeout.

Job description

This role owns the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from initial bid through final closeout. Key areas of responsibility include:

Bidding & Estimating: Analyze architectural drawings, conduct material takeoffs, gather vendor quotes, and put together proposals for prospective contracts.

Contract Administration: Interpret scope and specifications, assemble submittal packages, and monitor them through approval.

Design Coordination: Evaluate fabrication drawings against architectural intent, draft RFIs to resolve open questions, and integrate resulting design changes.

Purchasing: Draft RFPs, assess vendor pricing, and finalize purchase orders.

Field Execution

• Build and maintain project schedules, daily logs, and photo documentation


• Represent the project at site meetings, take field measurements, and partner with superintendents to uphold quality standards


• Drive punch list resolution and compile closeout packages and warranty documentation
