The company delivers civil site development work across a mix of industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on earthwork, underground utilities, sitework, and overall civil construction.

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who understands how civil projects are actually built and is comfortable managing everything from preconstruction and estimating through to project closeout.

You’ll work closely with the field team, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving, while taking ownership of the schedule, budget, costs, and overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of civil site development projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Oversee projects involving earthwork, grading, excavation, drainage, underground utilities, and site infrastructure
  • Manage project budgets, costs, schedules, forecasting, and overall profitability
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Review plans, specifications, and site drawings and identify potential issues before they impact the project
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with owners, developers, engineers, municipalities, inspectors, and other project stakeholders
  • Track quantities, production, material usage, and project costs
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers and make sure work is completed according to schedule and contract requirements
  • Help develop project schedules, look-ahead plans, and construction sequencing
  • Support estimating and preconstruction activities, including quantity takeoffs, bid reviews, budgeting, and constructability
  • Identify and manage project risks and work with the field team to resolve issues
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular cost and schedule updates
  • Ensure projects meet required quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Lead project closeout and ensure all documentation and outstanding items are completed
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of civil construction experience, preferably in site development, earthwork, utilities, or heavy civil construction
  • Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, excavation, drainage, stormwater, and underground utilities
  • Experience with water, sewer, storm drain, sanitary, and utility installation preferred
  • Experience working on industrial, residential, commercial, or infrastructure site development projects
  • Ability to understand and work from civil plans, utility plans, grading plans, and specifications
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, change orders, subcontractors, and project costs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working closely with the field team and being involved in day-to-day project decisions
  • Experience with construction/project management software such as Procore, Primavera, MS Project, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the Northeast and DMV as required
Why This Opportunity
  • Work on a variety of industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects
  • Get involved in the full scope of civil construction, from mass excavation and grading through underground utilities and final sitework
  • Work closely with experienced Superintendents and field teams
  • Real ownership of your projects, including cost, schedule, and client relationships
  • Opportunity to work on larger and more complex civil projects as the business continues to grow
  • Strong career progression into Senior Project Manager or Project Executive roles
  • Stable project pipeline across the Northeast and DMV
  • Competitive compensation and full benefits package
