Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee electrical construction and maintenance projects from initial bidding and estimating through project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical field background, proven project management capabilities, and the ability to coordinate labor, materials, equipment, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. This role requires strong leadership, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction and maintenance projects from bid preparation through final completion.
• Coordinate project resources, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution.
• Develop project estimates, budgets, and cost projections based on project requirements.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with project owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and design teams.
• Prepare, review, and calculate change orders and change proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate and execute purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Review and approve product submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, costs, labor productivity, and material usage against established estimates and budgets.
• Determine workforce requirements and allocate labor resources to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Communicate with owners, contractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues, construction challenges, and project concerns.
• Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Use project management and estimating software to track project performance and support decision-making.
• Promote a collaborative, professional, and productive working environment across project teams.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in an approved electrical program or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of electrical field experience.
• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license in North Dakota or Minnesota.
• Experience managing electrical construction projects, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, systems, and project specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, project owners, and construction teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and electrical estimating software such as Accubid or McCormick.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, shop drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to changing project requirements, and maintain professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, agricultural, industrial, or utility electrical construction.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Foreman, or Electrical Superintendent.
• Knowledge of electrical estimating, labor productivity, cost control, change orders, and subcontract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initial bid through closeout.
