Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting seeks an experienced Utility Project Manager to oversee Transmission, Distribution, and Substation initiatives from initiation to closeout. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver complex capital projects on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a proven ability to manage safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is required or preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing utility transmission, distribution, and/or substation capital projects.
• Strong project management principles: scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
• PMP certification highly preferred.
• Utility, electrical infrastructure, or power delivery experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation projects from initiation through final project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, risks, change orders, and stakeholder expectations.
• Monitor project performance and ensure milestones are achieved safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to utility leadership, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate outage planning, material procurement, permitting, and construction sequencing.
• Review engineering deliverables, construction progress, and contractor performance.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule and cost impacts.
• Ensure compliance with utility standards, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Support commissioning, energization, turnover, and final project acceptance.

Utility Project Manager – Transmission, Distribution & Substation

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support major Transmission, Distribution, and Substation projects for utility infrastructure programs. This role will oversee projects from initiation through closeout, working closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, contractors, and utility stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing utility capital projects and the ability to lead complex projects safely, efficiently, and within established schedule and budget requirements.

• PMP certification highly preferred.
• Utility, electrical infrastructure, or power delivery experience strongly preferred.
