Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting seeks an experienced Utility Project Manager to lead Transmission, Distribution, and Substation capital projects from initiation through energization and closeout.

You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. PMP is preferred; strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing utility transmission, distribution, and/or substation capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, engineering groups, and utility stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• PMP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission, distribution, and substation capital projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, risks, change orders, and stakeholder expectations.
• Monitor performance and ensure milestones are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate outage planning, material procurement, permitting, and construction sequencing.
• Review engineering deliverables, construction progress, schedules, and contractor performance.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Support project commissioning, energization, turnover, and final acceptance.

Utility Project Manager – Transmission, Distribution & Substation

We are seeking an experienced Utility Project Manager to lead and manage Transmission, Distribution, and Substation capital projects from project initiation through commissioning, energization, and closeout.

This individual will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, contractors, and utility stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
