Job summary

The Fordy Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up commercial construction projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. You will oversee all phases from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

This role requires 5+ years in PM for ground-up commercial builds, strong communication and leadership, and travel to job sites within the DFW area. Procore/Sage/Bluebeam experience is preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in ground-up commercial construction.
• Experience with tilt-wall construction a plus.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage, Bluebeam).
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites within the DFW area.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of ground-up commercial construction projects, including retail, industrial, and mixed-use builds
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination from preconstruction through final closeout
• Serve as primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Review and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders
• Lead project scheduling and ensure milestones are met, proactively identifying and resolving delays
• Conduct regular site visits and coordinate closely with on-site Superintendents
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality control requirements
• Track project financials, including cost forecasting, billing, and profitability reporting
• Support business development efforts through client relationship management
