Job summary

Hall & Kay seeks a Project Manager to deliver fire sprinkler, gas suppression, fire detection and integrated security projects. You will lead initiation and handover meetings, manage programmes, oversee on-site resources, and ensure regulatory and client requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have extensive construction project management experience, SMSTS/CSCS, Prince2, and strong cost-control skills. The role offers remote working from Swinton with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 schemes.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 competent.
• LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 competent.
• Familiarity with Prince 2 project management methodologies.
• Experience managing large, complex budget projects in construction.
• Practised at on-site labour & resources management.
• Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card.
• Knowledge of CDM management principles.
• Experience producing RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, CTC, trackers.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Commercial acumen—identifies and maximises project cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Lead project initiation/handovers with Sales, Design, QS.
• Produce and maintain project programme.
• Communicate with clients throughout the project life.
• Maintain central project records.
• Attend end-of-project CTC meetings and finalize docs.
• Ensure installers are briefed, competent, and qualified.
• Raise PORs with Tier 1 suppliers.
• Manage on-site resources to keep the programme.
• Support audits by internal/third parties.
• Record supplier non-conformities and resolutions.
• Consult SMEs where needed.
• Manage material and labour costs.
• Identify and invoice variations to contract.
• Raise final accounts.
• Conduct on-site inspections per RAMs schedule.
• Facilitate on-site toolbox talks.
• Complete H&S docs (RAMs, attendance sheets).

Summary of Role

You will deliver Fire Sprinkler projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing

• Leading project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
• Production and maintenance of project programme.
• Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.
• Maintenance of central project file records.
• Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
• Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. O&M, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.
• Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent & qualified to fulfill all project requirements.
• Raising PORs using authorised Tier 1 suppliers.
• Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.
• Participating with internal & third party audits.
• Identifying, recording & ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.
• Consulting with subject matter experts where required.
• Management of material and labour costs.
• Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.
• Raising of final accounts.
• Undertaking & recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.
• Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.
• Completion of all H&S related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.

What we will need from you (all essential)

• Working knowledge of BS EN 12845 & LPS1048 Schemes.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2 Competent.
• LPCB Site Inspection Module 1 Competent.
• Familiarity with the principles of Prince 2 project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing complex, large budget projects in the construction industry.
• Practised at management of on-site labour & resources.
• Valid SMSTS & CSCS Card Holder.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Extensive knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.
• Familiarity with all standard MS office applications
• Commercial acumen - Identifies and maximises project cost savings.
