Optimum Fire and Security Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project / Commissioning Manager to lead delivery, commissioning, and handover of fire and electronic security systems on commercial and industrial projects.

The role requires managing projects from contract award through commissioning, ensuring safety, compliance, and high technical standards, while coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers on multi-site deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management and commissioning within the fire and/or security industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Experience working to British Standards and audited environments.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience across both fire and security disciplines.
• ECS/CSCS or equivalent site certification.
• Experience on large-scale or multi-site projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire and security projects from installation through commissioning and handover.
• Oversee and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Plan and manage project programmes, resources, and site activities.
• Carry out and/or manage commissioning of fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and integrated systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards.
• Manage cause-and-effect testing, system configuration, and integration.
• Act as the main client point of contact during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure commissioning records, certifications, and O&M documentation are complete and accurate.
• Monitor quality, manage variations, control project risks and manage project P&L.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements and company procedures.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project / Commissioning Manager to join our established fire and security business. This role is critical to the successful delivery, commissioning, and handover of fire and electronic security systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects.

You will manage projects from contract award through final commissioning, ensuring systems are delivered safely, compliantly, on programme, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fire and security projects from installation through commissioning and handover
• Oversee and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

You will be technically strong, highly organised, and confident managing both people and projects in a live environment.
