Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Project Manager to lead domestic and international aftermarket power generation projects from planning to close-out, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget. You will work with Field Service and Shop Repair teams to drive customer satisfaction and project success.

The role requires a technical bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in project management with travel as needed, and offers a flexible hybrid work pattern from the Turtle Creek, PA Baker office.

Qualifications

As a Project Manager, you will working directly with the Field Service and Shop Repair teams to provide the highest level of customer service. You will be managing domestic and international power generation projects for aftermarket services. You will have project profit and loss accountability and will be responsible for customer satisfaction through the management of project related activities and resources.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering moderate to complex aftermarket power generation projects assuring that the activities are in line with the value proposition, schedule, and budget.
• Identifying proper customer points of contact in each layer of customer accounts and building relationships; fostering customer intimacy.
• Monitoring, coordinating, and expediting all the internal processes for the procurement of project materials and services.
• Reporting major project KPI's to leadership such as on time delivery, actual revenue versus planned revenue, project margin.
• Managing entire project lifecycle from planning stage through the completion of all contractual delivery obligations, including project close-out review.
• Coordinate all communications between the customer and the Company in a timely manner, from receipt of order through the end of the contract or warranty period if applicable.
• Coordinate activity within internal departments for recruitment of project personnel and tooling.
• Regularly review project performance and report any significant issues of concern to senior management when the situation warrants.
• Reporting completion of project milestones to ensure on-time invoicing.
• Effectively negotiating and recording customer project variations ensuring relevant internal departments are notified in a timely manner.
• Ensuring final project reports and workbooks are completed on time and in-full.
• Identifying risks and opportunities and developing plans for mitigation and enhancement/growth.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent from an accredited university and 2+yrs of experience in project management.
• Have proven records of Project Manager, field service, or contract management in industrial Power Generation.
• Travel as required to support order execution. Examples may include Customer visits, External Kickoff or progress meetings, key supplier visits, etc.
