Job summary

DistributionNOW is seeking a Project Manager to secure and analyze quotations, negotiate terms with suppliers, and ensure timely execution of products for end users.

You will be accountable for all aspects of assigned projects, lead supplier relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to meet delivery and quality targets while maintaining DNOW standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management and sales experience.
• Strong pipe, valves, and fittings sourcing background.
• Oil & gas knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of assigned projects.
• Source materials strategically and manage supplier relationships.
• Lead project-related conference calls and coordinate with third parties.
• Provide reporting to management.
• Ensure 100% on-time deliveries and order accuracy.
• Support other PMs and sales staff as needed.
• Maximize profits while expanding market share.
• Adhere to SOPs and DNOW processes.

The Project Manager will secure and analyze quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers. They will work with end users to ensure the timely execution of products delivered.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accountable for all aspects of assigned Projects
• Provide superior customer service internally and externally
• Strategically source material
• Help coordinate with internal support team order entry and item coding
• Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers
• Lead project-related conference calls and interact with all third parties involved in project management
• Provide reporting to project management team
• Be in compliance with all established SOPs
• Analyze and recommend areas where efficiencies and advantages can be gained by DNOW and/or our client
• Facilitate expeditious movement of material and paperwork
• Support other Project Managers and Sales Assistants as workload permits
• Exceed customer expectations in service requirements while maintaining 100% on-time deliveries and 100% order accuracy.
• Maximize operating profits while gaining market share through superior customer service.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Strong Pipe, valves, and fittings sourcing background
• 5+ years’ experience in project management and sales
• Oil & Gas knowledge preferred
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel and Word)
• Process, administrative, operations and SAP experience is a plus
• Positive and assertive attitude
• Detail-oriented, organized and analytical
• Understanding of and total commitment to DNOW processes
• Outgoing, service-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to receive direction
• Oral and written communication skills, both internal and external
• Relationship-building abilities with both customers and co-workers
