Your Role

As a project manager, you are especially important to the success of our branches and our company. You will act as the first-line representative of the company to the owners and general contractors that we work with and are critical to providing the excellent customer service that leaves a happy customer who wants to partner with us again. Additionally, by conducting secondary take-offs and managing material/equipment ordering and scheduling, you help ensure that our projects come in on time and on budget. Finally, through proper scheduling and safety material delivery, you provide our roofing crews with the tools that they need to be safe on the job and to complete the project to our quality standards. Day to Day Responsibilities will include
  • Participating in project hand off meetings with Ops Admin Department, Safety Department, and Superintendent.
  • Estimating the time and material needed to complete each roofing project (secondary take off) and coordinating with teams from varying trades, as appropriate.
  • Ordering materials required for each project with assistance from Ops Admin and Safety Departments and devising delivery schedules to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Planning and ascertaining availability of scaffolding, safety apparatuses and other equipment requirements for the project.
  • Reviewing architect's roofing design to plan the sequence of work. Identifying any practical problems in achieving the planned result and discuss any necessary changes with the architect and client.
  • Requesting permits as needed.
  • Serving as main point of contact for General Contractor and/or Owner for each project at branch of responsibility.
  • Preparing and delivering reports detailing the progress of all roofing work.
  • Providing information/support to estimators for major change orders.
  • Advising Ops Admin department of substantial completion and initiate commencement of close out process.
  • Submitting inventory paperwork (MTOs).
  • Advise Ops Admin department of need for submittals and shop drawings.
  • Maintaining a change order status log. Keeping Accounts Receivables informed of all pending and approved change orders.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in various commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bit, Coatings, etc.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred)
