Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking an experienced project manager to lead complex IT and business initiatives, delivering value for our associates and customers. The role acts as the primary interface to sponsors, product managers, and Weis Markets business units, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

You will publish and manage a comprehensive project plan, coordinate schedules and resources, oversee third‑party integrations, and monitor progress to keep deliverables on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 8–10 years' experience in IT/business operations management, project management or business analysis.
  • PMP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Publish a comprehensive project plan including development schedule, resource requirements and third party integrations.
  • Plan, schedule and control activities of complex projects spanning multiple organizations to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Ensure PMBOK-based methodologies and enterprise PMO standards are followed.
  • Escalate issues to leadership as needed.
  • Follow company policy and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Is Responsible For The Functions Below
  • Acts as the primary interface for the project to the project sponsor(s) and product manager as well as all Weis Markets Business Units and is accountable for managing the overall project.
  • Publishes a comprehensive overall project plan, including the development schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts of third party products.
  • Planning, scheduling and controlling the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations to ensure that project deliverables are provided on time, within budget and in accordance to specification.
  • Ensures that the methodology, processes and tools are consistently used as dictated through Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) & follows PMBOK Project Management disciplines.
  • Escalate issues to leadership as needed.
  • Follow standards in accordance with company policy and regulation.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisor responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Associate degree in computer science/computer engineering or related field or 8-10 years of experience as a business operations manager, project manager, consultant and/or business analyst in a role related to Information Technology or Business Processes. PMP Certification Preferred.
