Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex IT and business projects. You will coordinate with project sponsors, product managers, and Weis Markets units to ensure delivery on time and within scope.

The role requires strong PM skills, adherence to PMBOK disciplines, and experience managing across multiple organizations. On-site position with exposure to enterprise PMO standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer science/computer engineering or related field or 8-10 years of experience as a business operations manager, project manager, consultant and/or business analyst in a role related to Information Technology or Business Processes.
  • PMP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary interface for the project to the project sponsor(s) and product manager as well as all Weis Markets Business Units and is accountable for managing the overall project.
  • Publishes a comprehensive overall project plan, including the development schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts of third party products.
  • Planning, scheduling and controlling the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations to ensure that project deliverables are provided on time, within budget and in accordance to specification.
  • Ensures that the methodology, processes and tools are consistently used as dictated through Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) & follows PMBOK Project Management disciplines.
  • Escalate issues to leadership as needed.
  • Follow standards in accordance with company policy and regulation.

This position currently has no supervisor responsibilities.
