Job summary

GH Engage seeks an experienced Project Manager with a strong general contracting background to lead new construction initiatives. The role focuses on data center retrofits, densification, and office-to-data center conversions, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

You will coordinate multiple teams, manage schedules and costs, and maintain stakeholder relationships across owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners. Data center experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager for a general contractor.
  • Experience managing new construction projects from start to finish.
  • Background in data centers, tilt-wall, structural steel, concrete, or similar construction.
  • Strong subcontractor management, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Data center or mission-critical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project reporting.
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to coordinate field operations and resolve project issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction activities for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, schedule, and contractual requirements.

Our client is a small but rapidly growing general contractor specializing in mission-critical construction, with a focus on legacy data center retrofits, data center densification, and office-to-data center conversions.

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong general contracting background and hands-on experience managing new construction projects. Candidates with experience on data centers, tilt-wall construction, structural steel, concrete, or other large-scale commercial/industrial projects are encouraged to apply.
