Job summary

DempseyGill seeks a Construction Project Manager to own projects from turnover through closeout, ensuring budget, documents and results meet contract requirements. You’ll report to the Vice President of Project Management and work with superintendents, the assistant project manager, the project administrator, and accounting.

The role is office-based with travel to jobsites and client meetings. You’ll review estimates, build an execution plan, manage the budget and schedule, and coordinate subs,

Qualifications

• Two or more years of commercial construction project management.
• Strong command of commercial construction methods, contract administration, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Build, Viewpoint Vista, Bluebeam Revu, and Excel.
• Preferred: a bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering, design-build and construction management delivery experience, and OSHA 30.
• The communication instincts to deliver bad news early and good news accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review turnover from preconstruction and contract requirements to start the project.
• Build a project execution plan that matches the contract, the budget, and owner expectations.
• Own the budget and the schedule of values; track cost and forecast outcomes.
• Review subcontractor pricing, evaluate and price change orders, and watch profitability for risk.
• Prepare owner pay applications, review and approve subcontractor pay applications, and coordinate payment with accounting.
• Run the documents — RFIs, submittals, purchase orders — and keep every log current and accurate.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers, and coordinate material deliveries against the schedule.
• Coordinate field activities with the superintendents and manage inspections and permitting.
• Serve as the owner’s point of contact: run meetings and communicate progress, budget, schedule, and risk.
• Keep the field and the client ahead of potential delays and changes — early notice, every time.

Our clients get one point of contact, and it’s the PM. You pick the job up atturnover from preconstruction and carry it to closeout — budget, buyout,documents, and the result.
