Job summary

Safdie Architects, LLC. in Somerville, MA is seeking a strategic, dynamic Project Manager with strong design sensitivities to join our architectural practice.

You will work directly with Partners and project teams to support management and delivery of complex public and private projects across scales. You will collaborate with the design team and consultants, coordinate technical requirements, and help develop and submit design documents while ensuring adherence to design intent and contractual

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• 10 years’ professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager.
• Exemplary skills in organization, communication, and collaboration.
• Authorization to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fee proposals and monitoring expenses to effectively manage project budgets and expenses.
• Assessing deviations from project requirements and preparing revisions to fees and schedules.
• Supporting the design team through meetings and reviews, both internally and externally.
• Contributing solutions to complex design and technical challenges across the course of the project.
• Collaborate with project consultants to coordinate technical requirements while preserving the design intent.
• Working closely with the project team to develop and submit all design documents.
• Supporting the preparation of design documents at each project stage.
• Reviewing design documents at each project stage to protect adherence to the design intent and contractual obligations.
• Support the client and design teams by contracting and/or onboarding key consultants.
• Help facilitate communication and alignment within the project team, as well as between the project and client teams.
• Travel to project sites to coordinate with local consultant and client teams

Within a highly collaborative environment, you will work directly with the firm’s Partners and project teams to support management and delivery of programmatically complex public and private projects across all scales.
