Project Manager
Systems Integration & Development (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA seeking a Project Manager. This is a full-time and remote position based in Washington, DC.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide project management resources and processes to control, plan, identify issues, monitor, and track all work activities. This includes services and products to provide centralized administrative, clerical, documentation, and related services. Specific services include financial and milestone variance analysis, transition support, preventive and corrective actions, requirements support, documentation of status through monthly reports, metrics reporting, and regular communications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project scope and objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Analyze program costs and milestone performance, utilizing processes, documentation, and reporting for all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements and Agile-derived components.
- Assist in defining project requirements and system specifications.
- Provide and maintain an integrated milestone schedule (IMS) covering the entire period of performance, including contract deliverables, technology assessments, software releases, reviews, and operational readiness reviews.
- Conduct project meetings and provide guidance to the project team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information technology, or engineering.
- 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT or software development.
- Previous experience supporting government contracts, ideally NOAA-specific.
- Proven experience managing projects using Agile methodology.
- PMP certification is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Jira).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster good working relationships.
- Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
