Job summary

TILT is seeking a highly organized Project Manager to lead the lifecycle development of cannabis vape hardware, bridging product design, engineering, compliance, and supply chain.

You will manage end-to-end hardware launches—from concept to manufacturing and market introduction—coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience.
• 1–2 years in consumer electronics, hardware, or cannabis/vape industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• PMP or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vaporization tech, molding, batteries.
• Experience with overseas manufacturers and international logistics.
• Proficiency with PM software such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com, MS Project.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware project lifecycle from concept to launch.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and technical Project Manager to lead the lifecycle development of our next-generation cannabis vape hardware. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our product design, engineering, compliance, and supply chain teams. You will manage the end-to-end execution of new hardware launches—including cartridges, disposable pens, pods, and custom vaporization devices from initial concept to final manufacturing and market launch.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

• Project Lifecycle Management: Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for multiple hardware product lines simultaneously.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate daily activities between industrial design, mechanical engineering, quality assurance (QA), procurement, and marketing.
• Supply Chain & Vendor Liaison: Manage communication with overseas Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), primarily located in Asia, ensuring production timelines are met.
• Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all vape hardware complies with regional cannabis packaging laws, heavy metal testing guidelines, and electrical certifications (e.g., CE, RoHS, FCC, UL).
• Risk & Quality Mitigation: Identify project bottlenecks, supply chain risks, and manufacturing defects early to implement corrective actions.
• Budget Tracking: Manage product development budgets, tooling expenses, and Bill of Materials (BOM) cost tracking to ensure target profit margins.

Qualifications: Experience, Education

• Experience: 3–5 years of project management experience, with at least 1–2 years specifically within consumer electronics, hardware manufacturing, or the cannabis/vape industries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum certification is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vaporization technology, injection molding, battery mechanics, heavy metal compliance, and hardware manufacturing processes.
• Global Supply Chain: Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers (specifically in China/Shenzhen vape ecosystems) and managing international logistics.
• Tools: Proficiency with project management software such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or MS Project.
• Authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Deep passion for or deep understanding of the cannabis industry and evolving vape regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical engineers with creative designers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly shifting regulatory environment.
