Qualifications

• 5+ years leading heavy highway or heavy civil projects.
• Experience managing DOT roadway projects.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, paving, bridges, utilities.
• Proficient in project controls and cost reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of heavy highway construction from preconstruction to closeout.

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex transportation infrastructure projects across Georgia. What You'll Do:

• Manage all phases of heavy highway construction projects, from preconstruction through final completion.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost control.
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy highway or heavy civil construction. Project values range from $10mil to $100mil.
• Demonstrated experience managing DOT transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of roadway construction, grading, drainage, asphalt paving, concrete, bridges, utilities, and traffic control.
• Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, and multiple priorities.
• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent field experience).
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
