Job description

WinCorp Solutions is seeking a Project Manager III to serve as a consultant for our Fortune 500 client, a utility company based in San Diego, CA.

***Must be able to commute in-office 1 day/week minimum.

***Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar low-code/process automation platforms is HIGHLY PREFERRED.

The ideal candidate is someone who combines traditional project management fundamentals with analytical thinking, continuous improvement experience, and strong business partnership skills. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, highly organized, adaptable, and capable of driving results with minimal supervision while maintaining a customer-focused and collaborative approach.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

2-5 Years of Experience. Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project/Program Management function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Leads the execution of complex projects by defining scope, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements while fostering collaboration across teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages and directs multiple projects (small to medium) within a department or business unit.
  • Manages all activities leading to the successful completion of projects including project scoping, timelines, cost estimates, and design.
  • Develops and maintains parameters for project requirements.
  • Provides direction to contractors, consultants, and project teams.
  • Coordinates input from and participation with various other departments within the Company as needed to meet project objective.
  • Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project.
  • Builds business cases and justifications for projects designed to improve business processes and/or efficiency.
  • Provides team/project goals and evaluates performance.
  • Manages related workforce planning, budget analysis, and prepares budget forecasts.
  • This position is medium in scope (i.e., number of stakeholders, contractors, vendors, etc.). Typically works with Continuous Improvement lead on projects that may be complex. May present updates to Directors or Executives.
  • Perform a value realization to identify benefits and change impacts.
  • Develops and maintains user guides and training material.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications
  • Project Management Professional Certified
  • Possess Lean Six Sigma belt (minimum Yellow Belt) with working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
