Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer / Electrical Construction Coordinator for a large-scale Biogas Facility Project in Linden, NJ. This field-based role requires hands-on electrical construction support at an active site and close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, field execution, and resolving engineering discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for electrical construction activities on a renewable energy/biogas facility project.
• Review conduit sizing, routing, and installation plans.
• Manage and maintain cable schedules aligned with docs and field conditions.
• Coordinate electrical terminations and verify compliance with design specs.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between design and field installations.
• Interpret and troubleshoot electrical drawings, specs, and construction docs.
• Support installation and commissioning of motors and instrumentation systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and field crews to maintain progress.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Assist with turnover, punch lists, and closeout activities.

WORK SCHEDULE: 7 days a week (Mon-Sun), 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer / Electrical Construction Coordinator to support the completion of a large-scale Biogas Facility Project in Linden, New Jersey. This facility converts organic food waste into renewable natural gas and requires hands-on electrical construction support throughout the final phases of the project.

This is a field-based role working directly at an active construction site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, construction field execution, and resolving electrical engineering discrepancies. Key Responsibilities

• Provide field support for electrical construction activities on a renewable energy/biogas facility project.
• Review and validate conduit sizing, routing, and installation plans.
• Manage and maintain cable schedules to ensure alignment with project documentation and field conditions.
• Coordinate electrical terminations and verify compliance with design specifications.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve engineering discrepancies between design documents and field installations.
• Interpret and troubleshoot electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Support installation and commissioning activities involving:
  • Industrial electrical systems
  • Motors
  • Instrumentation systems
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and field crews to maintain project progress.
