The Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Project Coordinator (Construction/Electrical) with hands-on experience in scheduling field technicians and managing associated documentation processes. This role transitions to a hybrid work model after training, but requires presence in the field 5 days a week. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills. This permanent, full-time position is based in Long Island, NY, and offers a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer requests for field service work
  • Coordinate with building management to schedule field work
  • Respond promptly to cancellations and urgent requests
  • Determine if customer authorizations are required before scheduling
  • Issue reports to customers post-work or upon request
  • Coordinate with the accounting department for invoicing
  • Schedule daily field services for unresolved issues
  • Handle billing requests for customer site readings
  • Manage commissioning requests from sales
  • Proactively contact clients to schedule annual testing and follow up on appointments
  • Ensure proper organization during on-site visits and review reports for quality and issue resolution
  • Gather reports and generate official documents for state-required tests, ensuring completeness and follow-up
  • Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and on-site interactions, ensuring clear communication and timely responses
  • Generate monthly progress and efficiency reports for the department

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service
  • Familiarity with bidding processes or the construction industry is a plus
  • Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of submetering, state reporting laws, and basic troubleshooting is desirable. Electrical background is ideal, but candidates with strong scheduling and customer service skills willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.
