Job summary

Actalent in Rogers, MN is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead projects from inception through closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, RFIs, subcontracts, and vendor negotiations while maintaining strong client relationships in a on-site role.

The position requires 5+ years of commercial construction PM experience, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and MS Project. A team‑oriented, ownership‑driven culture is emphasized at Actalent.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects as a Project Manager for a Commercial General Contractor.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction plans and specifications.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills for budgeting, cost control, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Create, manage, and track project budgets to ensure financial performance and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Manage the RFI and submittal processes to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Lead project buyout activities, including procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare, manage, and administer subcontracts throughout the project.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Oversee cost management and reporting, providing regular updates on financial status and forecasts.
  • Identify, address, and manage the resolution of project issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Manage project staff, providing direction, coordination, and support to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate the project closeout process, ensuring all documentation, punch lists, and final requirements are completed.

Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Essential Skills

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $135000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
