Job summary

Our client, a leading energy and EPC organization, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of high-voltage AIS and GIS substation projects. You will manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder communication from kickoff through completion.

The role requires coordinating clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery, while maintaining EHS compliance and driving project performance to key milestones.

• PMP certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple AIS and GIS substation EPC projects from initiation through closeout.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Lead project teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation to protect cost, schedule and quality.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and company policies.
• Facilitate issue resolution and drive projects to milestone delivery.

This individual will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder communication, and overall project performance from kickoff through completion. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with experience supporting high-voltage substation EPC projects and can effectively coordinate clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple AIS and GIS substation EPC projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and resource planning to ensure successful project execution.
• Lead project teams and coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and quality.
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Facilitate issue resolution and drive projects to meet key milestones and deliverables.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PMP Certification or willing to get it
• Experience working for an EPC firm supporting utility, transmission, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Located in or near Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL.
• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience leading large-scale substation or transmission infrastructure projects.
