Project Manager – Cryogenic & Energy Projects

Energy / Industrial Manufacturing / Carbon Capture

About the Company

Our client is a global industrial manufacturing and engineering company serving the Energy industry, with a growing focus on carbon capture, hydrogen, natural gas, cryogenic processing, and other advanced energy technologies. The company designs, engineers, fabricates, and delivers highly engineered equipment and systems for complex industrial applications around the world.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple complex projects from initial planning through execution, fabrication, delivery, and completion.

The Opportunity

This is a high-visibility project leadership role for an experienced professional who understands cryogenic gas processing, industrial fabrication/construction, engineering, and large-scale energy projects.

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage customer relationships, oversee schedules and budgets, resolve project issues, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple complex industrial projects simultaneously from kickoff through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, quality, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage projects involving cryogenic gas processing, natural gas and hydrogen liquefaction, gas separation, gas rejection, and related energy infrastructure.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify and resolve schedule, cost, quality, technical, and resource issues.
  • Work closely with engineering disciplines to ensure designs and project deliverables meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and provide consistent communication regarding project status, milestones, risks, and issues.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate communication among internal teams, customers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Review project documentation, specifications, drawings, schedules, and technical requirements.
  • Manage changes, scope adjustments, conflicts, and customer requests while protecting project objectives.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to project teams and ensure responsibilities are clearly defined and executed.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 and other project management tools to develop, monitor, and communicate project schedules.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable industry codes, standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, fabrication, engineering, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of hands‑on project management experience, preferably within industrial manufacturing, EPC, engineering, fabrication, construction, energy, or process equipment environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cryogenic gas processing projects, including natural gas and/or hydrogen liquefaction, separation, and rejection facilities.
  • Industrial fabrication and/or construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience working with applicable industry codes and standards such as ASME, ASME B31, AISC, ASTM, AWS, OSHA, and/or international equivalents.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, management, supervisory, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong accountability for results.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Strong customer service and customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Primavera P6, and other project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects, establish accountability, and drive projects through successful completion.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on project leader who can bridge the gap between engineering, fabrication, construction, customers, and project execution.
