Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking an experienced Development Project Manager II to oversee a portfolio of low-to-moderate risk development projects in the electric utility space.

You will own project planning and execution, coordinating engineering, controls, estimating, construction, supply chain, and other stakeholders to meet schedule and cost objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in electrical transmission, distribution, utilities, or a related field.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of utility/transmission industry terminology and project execution.
  • Experience with project scheduling and cost controls.
  • Strong decision-making, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, costs, quality, safety, and risk.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and functional teams.
  • Lead project meetings and provide weekly/monthly status reporting.
  • Support estimating, procurement, contracting, equipment selection, and project execution strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and make adjustments to maintain schedule and cost objectives.
  • Support project planning, construction, commissioning, and integration activities as applicable.

Now hiring: Development Project Manager II

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the electric utility, transmission, or distribution space to support a portfolio of low-to-moderate risk development projects.

This role will have single-point accountability for project planning and execution, working across Engineering, Project Controls, Estimating, Construction, Supply Chain, EHS, QA/QC, Operations, Regulatory, and other project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, costs, quality, safety, and risk
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and functional teams
  • Lead project meetings and provide weekly/monthly status reporting
  • Support estimating, procurement, contracting, equipment selection, and project execution strategies
