We are seeking a Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background and a genuine interest in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drone technology. This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who enjoys solving problems, coordinating projects, working with customers, and getting into the details of the hardware.

The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong organizational and project management skills with a practical, hands‑on mindset. Experience building, flying, modifying, or otherwise working with drones outside of school or work is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedules, milestones, and deliverables are clearly defined and tracked.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and task assignments.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, testing, and other project activities to keep projects moving forward.
• Work closely with engineering and technical teams to identify project requirements, priorities, risks, and potential roadblocks.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and participate in customer meetings, discussions, and project reviews.
• Communicate project status, schedule updates, technical issues, and action items to internal teams and customers.
• Assist with hands‑on engineering, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of UAV systems and components.
• Help identify and resolve technical and project‑related issues as they arise.
• Track project deliverables and ensure work is completed on schedule and meets applicable requirements.
• Support documentation, reporting, and other project management activities.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment where priorities may change and projects require both technical problem‑solving and hands‑on execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related mechanical engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in engineering, project management, or a related field.
• Recent college graduates with meaningful project management experience through senior design projects, engineering projects, internships, or other hands‑on school activities will also be considered.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and timelines.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and customers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to be hands‑on with hardware, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration.
• A genuine interest in drones, UAVs, robotics, or related technology.
• Practical experience with drones is strongly preferred. Candidates who have built, flown, modified, repaired, or otherwise experimented with drones in their spare time are particularly encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership of projects and responsibilities.
